No matter what you heard... [15 May 2006|08:13pm]
I AM still alive!

I got home last night from traveling. I was in DC and Richmond the last two weeks - had a blast and worked my ass off in both cities.

I'm home for a week while I attend Windows 2003 Server - Active Directory Implementation training and then I'm off to Boston till the end of the month.

I met some REALLY nice people in DC and got a nice break while in Richmond.

I also found that I have some chopper time coming up so I'll be taking vacation July 3-7 to do that FT again. Can't Wait!

Need advise/suggestions... [17 Apr 2006|10:11pm]
All,

I need some advise and/or suggestions...

My lease is up at the end of this month and I have to figure out what I'm going to do.

Honestly I'm hardly ever in town enough to necessitate an apartment but it's a necessary evil. If I could put everything in storage and live in a hotel I'd do it but that's outreagously expensive.

I either need to find a roommate and move into a two bedroom or find a husband to move in with me so someone's home while I'm gone (don't laugh, I'm serious).

Anyone else travel for a living knows what I'm talking about...

I'm all ears...

Gas Wars [17 Apr 2006|10:02pm]
Poster's Edit: OK, I took out all the "pass this on..." crap but I'm on board with the general idea. I don't buy Exxon and/or Mobile anyway - but if you DO then I would suggest you read further...

POST:

GAS WAR - an idea that WILL work

This was originally sent by a retired Coca Cola
executive It came from one of his engineer buddies
who retired from Halliburton. It's worth your
consideration.

Join the resistance!!!! I hear we are going to
hit close to $ 4.00 a gallon by next summer and it might
go higher!! Want gasoline prices to come down? We
need to take some intelligent, united action.

Phillip Hollsworth offered this good idea. This makes
MUCH MORE SENSE than the "don't buy gas on a certain
day" campaign that was going around last April or May!
The oil companies just laughed at that because they
knew we wouldn't continue to "hurt" ourselves by
refusing to buy gas. It was more of an inconvenience
to us than it was a problem for them. BUT, whoever
thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can
really work. Please read on and join with us!

By now you're probably thinking gasoline priced at
about $1.50 is super cheap. Me too! It is currently
$2.79 for regular unleaded in my town. Now that the
oil companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us
to think that the cost of a gallon of gas is CHEAP at
$1.50 - $1.75, we need to take aggressive action to
teach them that BUYERS control the marketplace..not
sellers. With the price of gasoline going up more each
day, we consumers need to take action. The only way we
are going to see the price of gas come down is if we
hit someone in the pocketbook by not purchasing their
gas! And, we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves.

How?

Since we all rely on our cars, we can't just stop
buying gas. But we CAN have an impact on gas prices if
we all act together to force a price war.

Here's the idea: For the rest of this year, DON'T
purchase ANY gasoline from the two biggest companies
(which now are one), EXXON and MOBIL. If they are not
selling any gas, they will be inclined to reduce their
prices. If they reduce their prices, the other
companies will have to follow suit. But to have an
impact, we need to reach literally millions of Exxon
and Mobil gas buyers. It's really simple to do!

Acting together we can make a difference.

If this makes sense to you, please pass this message
on. I suggest that we not buy from EXXON/MOBIL UNTIL
THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES TO THE $1.30 RANGE AND KEEP
THEM DOWN. THIS CAN REALLY WORK.

SAY NO TO EXXON/MOBIL

Today we covered:

1. Car into house on southside:

2. Flooding on northwest side (water main break)
3. House fire on west side
4. End of a chase on the northeast side
5. Search continuing on the east side for missing kid

The car into the house is the only one that made it onto the website. Pretty slow day - but you KNOW I still had fun!

Odd... [10 Apr 2006|08:10pm]
I just realized something kinda odd...

I have 3 phone numbers. One for work, a work cell, and a personal cell. They all have repeating numbers in the last 4 digits...

6121
7176
9091

Doesn't that seem a little odd?

Weekend Recap [10 Apr 2006|07:50am]
So, it appears that nobody on MySpace actually uses the Journal feature so I'll be sticking with LJ.

In case any of you read this and care ;-) here is my weekend recap:

Friday night: My friend Matt came over and we drank wine and played Flight Sim till all hours of the night.

Saturday: Went tanning - now I'm down to once a week. Went to Targetto and bought a bike helmet. Went bike riding with my boss' wife. It was fun but the bike helmet doesn't fit so it's gotta go back to Target. Then we went to eat at 100% Taquito (yum).

Sunday: I NEVER LEFT THE APARTMENT. I love days like that - I did absolulty nothing. I played Flight Sim some and watched tv. It was ghettofabulous.

Hope you all had a great weekend!!!

OK - LJ Peeps - the question is: Is 27 too old to be (gay and) single?

Am I on borrowed time here? Should I stop looking for "Mr Right" and start looking for "Mr. You'll Do"?

Congrats to Jake Shears! [02 Apr 2006|02:03pm]
Congrats to Jake Shears, Lead Singer for The Scissor Sisters, for making my "hero" page (www.christophermichael.org)! Jake makes the cut because of his tireless efforts to "out" obviously gay celebrities and for being an all-together original person and hottie.

Welcome Jake!

Wasted Saturday [02 Apr 2006|10:08am]
Yeah - yesterday was a wasted of a day. I worked all damn day - we had a server work day. Then by the time I got out it was too late to make plans with anyone so I ended up having dinner with my boss and his wife (it was good though) and then coming home and crashing.

I need to make plans for today... ideas anyone?

Dear Web Stalkers [01 Apr 2006|04:31pm]
Dear Web Stalkers,

Please be offended when I snap at you one day after being nice to you for 6 months of CONSTANT IMing, emails, and messages. I know I have no life and are online all the time, but that doesn't mean you should try to live through me. One "how are you doing?" IM a day is plenty.

Nothing personal.

Love ya,

CB

Another beautiful Saturday wasted... [01 Apr 2006|01:41pm]
It's another BEAUTIFUL saturday here in Houston and I'm stuck inside at work. We've been doing server updates as a team-effort all day and now we're taking a break for lunch. I wish I was outside somewhere hanging out with people...
